FAQ'S

💉 Do I need any vaccinations or health precautions for Kenya?

It’s recommended to be up to date on routine vaccines (e.g., Hepatitis A, Typhoid):

  • Yellow fever vaccination is required if you’re traveling from a country with a risk of yellow fever.

  • Malaria precautions – Nairobi is low risk, but if you plan to visit safari areas or the coast, you may want to consider malaria tablets and use insect repellent.

  • Travel Insurance – We recommend getting comprehensive travel insurance for medical emergencies, trip cancellations, or lost luggage.

  • If your provider offers international roaming, check rates before you travel.e

🛡️ Is Kenya Safe to Visit?

We understand that some guests may have concerns about safety in Kenya. The good news is that Nairobi and other major destinations are much safer than they used to be. Like any major city, it’s important to stay aware of your surroundings, but most visitors have a smooth and enjoyable experience with no issues. Here’s what you need to know:

✔️ General Safety Tips

Stay in recommended areas – We suggest staying in Westlands/Parklands, where hotels and amenities are well-secured.

Use Uber/Bolt – These are safer and more reliable than hailing taxis on the street.

Avoid walking alone at night – Just like in any big city, it’s best to take a taxi if you’re out late.

Keep valuables secure – Use hotel safes for passports and extra cash, and be mindful of your phone in crowded places.

Emergency contacts – We’ll share key numbers, including hotel contacts, local emergency services, and embassy details.

👮 Police & Security Presence

Nairobi has a visible security presence in public spaces, malls, and hotels, making it a safer and more secure environment for visitors.

Most high-end areas (like where our wedding hotels are located) have private security guards, CCTV, and gated access.

🦓 Travel Safety for Safari & Coastal Trips

Safaris are extremely safe – Game reserves and national parks have strict regulations to ensure visitor safety.

If traveling to Diani Beach, flights are the safest and quickest way to get there.

We’ve planned everything with guest safety in mind, and thousands of tourists visit Kenya every year with no issues. As long as you take basic precautions like you would in any city, you’ll have an amazing time!
